Turkey announces National Space Program
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the National Space Program will bring Turkey into the premier league in the global space race. Erdoğan stressed that the first Turkish citizen will land on the moon on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
TGC Pirireis launched
TCG Pirireis (S-330), the first submarine in the New Type Submarine Project (YTDP), launched.
Defence and aerospace sector turnover reaches $12 billion
